Integrated brand solutions agency THINK has announced the appointment of Michelle Edgar-Parsons (28) as managing director. The change will see former MD Paul Inman move into the position of CEO, with a significant focus on developing the company’s international presence.
Ms Edgar-Parsons, previously head of global marketing at Propaganda, joined THINK in September last year, as global brand strategy director and has been instrumental in THINK’s entrance into new global markets including Dubai.
Ms Edgar-Parsons who has worked on brands including ghd, Morphy Richards and Fox’s Biscuits commented: ‘I’m delighted to be moving into this new role for a company which has an intensely passionate team and the combined talent to create and develop brands for both local and international clients.’
Less than three years after its foundation in 2005, THINK now incorporates offices in Yorkshire, London, New York and the Middle East. Paul Inman will now drive THINK’s growth with new offices planned in Kenya, Egypt and South Africa.
Inman said: ‘We took the decision to appoint Michelle as managing director based on her exceptional brand experience and clear vision for driving the business forward. With Michelle at the helm I can maximise opportunities for recreating THINK’s successful, brand-led model on a wider international scale.’
International expansion will do nothing to weaken THINK’s UK offering however, and Yorkshire heritage remains a major part of the brand’s identity. January saw the agency move to new head offices in West Yorkshire and the ambition to be the best agency in the North is still a firm objective for 2008.
